MITT ROMNEY/RON PAUL 2012
As the caucus’ begin, and Iowa and New Hampshire historically begin their voting and then declaration of opinions on who they would like to see run against President Obama in November, I cannot help but see who I have supported for years, Ron Paul, surging in the polls and a supportive base, and excitement about him like I’ve never seen before. It seems the things that Ron Paul has been preaching for years is now being realized by the public, and new supporters surging. Through bad policies by the Bush and Obama administrations, extensive over spending in the name of economic hopeful growth, and a sense that the current government running us neither cares for the constitution or is willing to even defend it, often quoting modern times as an excuse to bypass it because the founders could not have imagined society today or that the country would become what it has. In contrast, I believe the founder knew exactly what could and would become of the this country in the future, this is why they feverishly and fervently fought over what would and could be in our constitution and bill of rights. Take the second amendment, many say its obsolete and too many deaths are caused by not strict enough gun control and that guns should actually be banned from the public. No country, no matter how powerful, or liberated or free, is safe from corruption and fear driven policy. The United States could clearly become totalitarian if the public went on like it has the last 30 years, by not paying attention and letting the govt. pass laws obstructing the constitution like the NATIONAL HEALTHCARE LAWS, and the NATIONAL DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION ACT of 2011. The first of which stripped citizens of the choice to buy something they did not need in order to support a broken system in medicare/medicaid/social security, actually enslaving the young to pay for the older generations medical bills in light of the Baby Boomers surging in retirement numbers etc., and to fulfill a long standing Liberal Democratic view point of ‘the govt. knows best, so let us take care of you’… which means, ‘let us decide for you’, not something they were ever supposed to be able to do in the founders eyes. The latter, the NDAA, which was recently passed in Congress and supported by President Obama, gives the Pentagon and the Military the power to declare not only the United States sovereign ground as a war zone enabling them to pick up U.S. citizens accused or thought to have ties with any number of definitions attached to Terrorism. This means that if your Baseball coach donated money to a charity, and that charity sent money overseas and by chance that money was taken or diverted in some way to some terrorist linked organization or thought to be similar to that, that all of these people, all the way to your coach and you for affiliating yourself with your coach can all be picked up and detained by the military indefinitely, without a lawyer, freedom of speech, or trial by peers etc etc. essentially it will destroy the Bill Of Rights. This does not just apply to citizens within our borders either, but all over the world. These things are not only blatant examples of pissing on the Constitution and Bill Of Rights, but it shows that Congress and the President no longer abide by the guidelines of these documents but no longer defend them either.
This brings me to what I want to say about this election. President Obama, whether you support him or not, cannot deny the fact he has not held up any major promise he made running for president. Sure he got healthcare and a few other left wing things passed, but what was the cost, part of your civil rights being taken away and now a major wealth war taking place in our country. No it is not right for 1% of our population to own the majority of the wealth in this country and taxes should be proportionately placed among them. But, 44% of our population does not even pay taxes for one, and that 1% is accused of being greedy, and manipulation people and the system to enslave the 99% of the population that is not wealthy. Not all of these people are rich because they are greed mongers, they got rich dong what we were taught from grade school, capitalism. Capitalism by its definition is the process of greed. We built an economy based on greed, and we, as the American public let Congress and our Govt. in general not regulate or blindly followed in what they chose for us leading us to this point. The blame does not lie with the wealthy but rather the Govt. we put in charge to make sure these things never happened, and there is absolutely no one protesting them. The govt. bailed everyone out, the Govt. created the atmosphere for this greed to flow so freely, and the Govt. no is trying to solve the problem by taking more money from its citizens in the form of debt to put patches on the problems which in turn will actually cause a worse situation down the line.
Mitt Romney is not my first choice, I am a Ron Paul supporter, who is doing amazingly well and these are the top two Republicans in the running right now. Romney will probably win the nomination, and while I don’t agree with some of his policies I do think that we tried the Liberal viewpoint and we tried to do the Democratic change but all it led to was extreme overspending as the only solution in their eyes to save us, met and determined law in secret and not transparently, and destroyed all credibility that it had by continuing to do and follow the same Bush Administration policies that they so hardily preached and ran against. I think both parties need to go ad we need an Independent party representative, someone to voice the opinions of moderates, which are the fastest growing political affiliation today. Mitt Romney has a great business background, something we need. Obama has no experience other than two years as a Senator in which he made no major decisions, and he was a community organizer which lead to his major win in 2008. Ron Paul, believes in stopping the support of countries that do not support us, abiding by the constitution strictly as should be done, and above all defends the public at all costs against the govt. intruding in your life. Being pissed because your poor or were dealt a bad card in life is not a reason to force people to give you what you haven’t earned or have done nothing to get just because we have built up a culture to idolize the rich, glamourous, and celebrity, i.e. reality shows out of control and tabloids culture. If you want something there is absolutely nothing that should stop or deter you from it, just do whatever you have too to get it!!
With all that said I think if Romney wins the nomination that he should pick Ron Paul as his running mate, not only will it create a dominating force for Obama to overcome, even if Hillary Clinton was chosen for his running mate, but they could destroy any argument the president or his running mate make to stay in office. Currently Obama’s tactical strategy is to run against Congress, that he has been doing everything he can to fix things and come together, do not let his advisors, spin masters, and most ALL of the media, which is clearly Liberal, except Fox News, and was proven during the last Republican debate when ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, in a completely biased opinion, questioned Republican nominees in such a way as to try and manipulate the viewers opinions of them in the form of his questioning. Lets be fair, Both ABC, NBC, MSNBC, etc. are all Liberally biased, and Fox news is heavily Conservatively biased, but people need to stop taking opinionated news and commentators paid to give their opinion, as factual news, which is manipulating the culture of todays news watchers and citizens.
GO RON PAUL 2012!!!
